HP invent scanjet 4370
My friend has bought a hp scanjet 4370, when he connect it to his computer
and loads the software there is usually a pop up that says "new hardware found - new hardware installed and ready to use" However this doesn't happen and when the program is opened to use the scanner he gets a meesage that no device is connected. The software installed okay as per the instructions. Can anyone help?

Disconnect the HP unit from the computer, uninstall the software, restart the computer,

This will force the Plug and Play controls to the correct drivers. -- --- Y.
