Default Windows Installer and USB Floppy.

Can Windows Installer read drivers from a USB Floppy?
If, so how?

Hi Roger,

If the BIOS supports it as a boot device, sure. I've done it with my laptop
several times.

Default Windows Installer and USB Floppy.

Hi Rick,

That’s has been my experience too, but I have two new AMS socket
motherboards, one for Gigabyte and one from FDI, that I can boot from the
floppy, but the Windows installer can not find the Driver Floppy during
installation.

Both companies Tech Support say that’s the way it works.

Have to wait and see if I can get and answer from one Microsoft’s people
that can give some kind of work what is correct my experience or what
Gigabyte and DFI are saying.

Thanks for the reply, at lest I have two votes, yours and mine that it
should work.

Roger
