Windows 7.5 messenger vs Windows live messenger
Hi. I have windows 7.5 messenger installed but I would like to have the new
Windows live messenger, but the thing is that when you install WLiveM does it erase the other version or will I have 2 versions?, if this is so, How can I erase the older version and by doing this, will this affect my adresses and stuff?. Thanks. |

Windows 7.5 messenger vs Windows live messenger
Hi, I would like to butt in here and confirm this problem. I just loaded
Messenger 7.5 and I assumed that it would remove or replace Messenger 4.7. My problem is that now I have both. I use MSN Explorer and IE 7.0 and with the two messengers I find that a good part of the time it will not sign in and then if it does, it will not register those on line. Windows 7.5 messenger vs Windows live messenger
Just install Windows Live Messenger over the top of MSN messenger 7.5. Once
installed you will have only Windows Live Messenger and all your addresses will be imported to the new WLM. "Claudia L." Claudia wrote in message ... Hi. Windows 7.5 messenger vs Windows live messenger
You're confusing Windows Messenger 4.7 which is built into the Windows XP
Operating system with MSN Messenger 7.5 which is a separate instant messaging program offered from Microsoft. You do NOT need to uninstall Windows Messenger 4.7, the two messaging programs can co-exist together. Matter of fact, if you use Remote Assistance, MSN Messenger 7.5 and Windows Live Messenger need Windows Messenger to use this feature. If you would like to disable Windows Messenger from running at the same time as MSN Messenger, open Windows Messenger/Tools/Options/Preferences. Un-check "Run Windows Messenger when Windows starts" and "Allow Windows Messenger to run in the background" and select OK. "Briandp" wrote in message ...
