I want to resell my xp home edition computer. My name is all over the
computer;
that is in the:My Documents and Settings/(MyName)/etc. and all over the
Registry as the "Installer". Must I reinstall the operating system to get
rid of the name? I read the Microsoft "How to" fix and it seems outrageously
difficult. Any ideas are greatly appreciated. Bill Walsh

Don't re-install the operating system. Just reformat the hard drive and let
the new user install everything using his/her name.
