Default A Problem with Internet Explorer?

Hello and thankx in advance for any input on this. I've been having a
weird problem with Internet Explorer 6 holding any changes that I've
made to it. Whenever I re-position or change a toolbar and exit out, the
changes I made are not being saved. When I re-open Explorer, all the
toolbars and buttons are right back to the way they were before I made
changes. I checked Lock the Toolbars under the VIEW menu but it didn't
fix the problem. Someone suggested deleting my temporary files from
Internet Explorer but that didn't fix it. Also, my son told me to load
Internet Explorer version 7, but I'm just getting used to version 6. He
also helped me to run a full virus scan with AVG Free and also scans
with AsAware SE Personal and Windows Defender. Nothing showed any
problems or helped the cause.

My computer is only less than a year old and I have not had any other
problems with any other programs at all. My daughter was here yesterday
and suggested that I not use Internet Explorer anymore and install a
Mozila Firefox browser instead. As I said, I'm used to Explorer 6 so
that might be a problem, but if that solves it, then I may have to do
that. I would appreciate any suggestions or input from anyone.

Thank you,
Herman
