Default Change Computer's Workgroup remotely

I have about 40 XP computers on a network and I have their local IPs
and their local Administrator user accounts and Passwords. I was
wondering if it was possible (perhaps through remote registry or some
other remote service) to change the workgroup from "WORKGROUP" to the
correct value (e.g. "IEDS"). computers are connected to without having
to physically change it at every machine.

You can do that with Netdom or the corresponding UI tools:

If you need additional help it may be better to post on the Server
newsgroupgs.
