boot stalls
Since some time I have booting problems with my XP PC. At first it seems to
boot normally, I get the XP logo, then the screen becomes black with only the mouse pointer. Then... nothing happens anymore. Any ideas? -- regards, |\ /| | \/ |@rk \../ \/os

Something like that happened to an XP netbook I have last month, it turned out that it had set the harddisk to PIO mode, and that it needs a registry fix to have it go to ultra-DMA mode.
