When you run MSCONFIG.exe and then goto the startup tab, I still find items there that I deleted due to being spyware. How can I get the listing deleted from the startup section completly where the option of checking is no longer there.

I can't thank you enough for posting this message. Anyone reading this, DO NOT go near anything called "cool-web search" or "cool-net search". I don't know how it happened, but an executable file was mistakenly downloaded on this machine that was modifyi
ng the registry folder everytime the pc was re-booted. i could delete the registry items, but the item remained in the start-up folder. Anytime you stumbled on the wrong website, it automatically re-programmed the registry to load the damn thing at start -up! I'd like to delete the scumbag responsible for this bull****. Spread the word. Thanks again. |
