For those of you on AMD Windows computers, this is critically important
(but also confusing as older AMD CPUs _still_ do not appear to be supported).

Below is hard-won information for those of us on older Windows AMD CPUs.

Dick. You've nymshifted in the middle of a thread. I don't give a damn
about your inane Android experience. Post this on an Android forum where at
least it's on-topic.

Hi Chris,
*There is power in Windows, when it comes to interfacing with Android.*

Thank you for that interesting look into your mind.
I appreciate that you explained how much you comprehended of the topic.

While I realize you're keyword driven, here are adult facts for you, Chris.
o This thread is about writing code on Windows 10.
o This thread is about emulators running on Windows 10.
o This thread is setting up Windows 10 hyper-v to run with older AMD CPUs.

To clarify for you, Chris:
1. This is about the Microsoft Android Emulator running on Windows 10.
2. It's also about the Google Android Studio IDe running on Windows 10.
And, with respect to your entirely off-topic tirade...
3. If you can't figure out who I am in seconds, you're arguably a moron.

Your mind is clearly that of a child, Chris, in that you react to keywords.

Your brain has no actual reading-comprehend skills whatsoever.
All you see, is the word "android", which acts as a keyword 'sound bite'.

It's interesting that your brain is exactly the brain of a child, Chris.

You can't comprehend a sentence ... you can only comprehend sound bites.
And, for you, the sound bite "android" is all you see.

Thank you for the interesting glimpse into your mind, that of a child.

You literally think that because you see the word "Android" in both of
those Windows 10 products, you immediately conclude the topic therefore
has nothing to do with tools running on Windows 10.

That's a very interesting thought process, Chris.
Thank you for proving your mind works exactly like that of a child.

Meanwhile, adults can comprehend that the topic is:
o Windows tools (Microsoft emulators and Android IDEs)
o Which interface with Android tools

For example, did you know, Chris, that Windows can *easily* access the root
file system of any Android device (even non rooted ones) to copy the hosts
file?

Did you know that Chris?

Here are the commands you can run, from Windows, to copy the Android
hosts file, for example.
================================================== =======
o On Windows, pull the Android hosts file to Windows over USB sans root:
C:\app\editor\android\sdk\platform-tools\adb.exe pull /system/etc/hosts

REPORTS:
/system/etc/hosts: 1 file pulled. 0.0 MB/s (56 bytes in 0.016s)
================================================== =======

Did you know that was possible, Chris, to access the Android hosts
file, from Windows, without being root on the Android device?

Here's more you don't know about how Windows accesses Android
root files without ever being root on the Android device!

o I opened the Windows Android Studio "Device File Explorer":
http://www.bild.me/bild.php?file=6942292androidstudio76.jpg
o Amazingly, this displayed the root file system on Android:
http://www.bild.me/bild.php?file=1162959androidstudio77.jpg
o It "seems" to allow me to "edit" the root files (non rooted):
http://www.bild.me/bild.php?file=1078724androidstudio78.jpg
o Where it sure "looks" like we can edit root files, non root:
http://www.bild.me/bild.php?file=1402992androidstudio79.jpg
o But I'll need to test this further as it's unbelievable:
http://www.bild.me/bild.php?file=2729035androidstudio80.jpg

Did you know this Chris?
Or, is your brain wired to only see disjoint sound bites, Chris?

There is power in Windows, when it comes to interfacing with Android.
