Default 60783439 application/json

Sometimes, when I click on a like/dislike point on a comment in a
Yahoo news article, the computer asks whether I want to download a
file with the name 60783439. It says it's an 'application/json."
What's a json? What is this program? Goggling it results in nothing
relevant.

Thanks.

That's odd... when I google it, it comes up with nothing that's NOT
relevant.

http://www.google.com/search?q=json

.... shows that it is a type of javascript.

Thanks. I was using the entire name of the thing.

I've also been offered the same thing, called 60786037.

Gee, I dunno: when you were just reading news,
somebody invited you to download something
the purpose of which is a mystery to you, and
the name of which is incomprehensible.

I'd say the real question is, has someone found
a way to hack Yahoo news for destructive
purposes?
