You might be able to goto the Program Defaults off of Control Panel,
goto set default program to start for HTTP, and browse to the IE.exe
to start on default.

A home user like you would not understand it.

Well if you could construct better sentences then......but what do you
expect from someone who has such a poor command of the written word?

I see your nose is opened wide on the chase across ng(s).

Unlike you, I don't think with my nose, I use my brain to read the various
Usenet groups to *try* and gather useful information on the six operating
systems and many applications that are used on a number of computers I
maintain - but you lack the esoteric knowledge that I seek.

I open noses like that. It is what I do is open a nose on a ho. :-)

Perhaps if opened your brain and took command of the language of your
country things may be better for you -rather than smelling all that ****
your spouting.

Grammatically the sentence is wrong - but that's a Yank for you!

It sounds like you are smoking that crack again and on the chase.

Most users of computers don't have the countless problems you have, and my
90 year old mother is better with computers than you are. Why can't you do
the simplest things with a computer?

You are given simple links and you can't follow them, and you run around
to other ng(s) asking the same questions, you get the same answers and
still you cannot do it.

Goto is a statement in COBOL and VB, and I have written many programs over
the years using the goto statement. So I use goto at times. Is it the end
of the world for you? Now you can go to standing in your corner in your
computer room.

You probably say alot a lot too.

And she certainly has a far better grasp of their workings than you do!

As for "running around newsgroups" - well you're a fine one to write
something like that! ROTFL

Goto is a statement in COBOL and VB, and I have written many programs

The use of "goto" in programming is certainly valid - but not when giving
instructions to a person in the context you used!

Actually, it was Colombia and used throughout South America. It's known
down there as the poor man's cocaine. When you consider that a gram of
coke in Caracas goes for about 4 dollars, we're talking really poor.

Funny you should say "Yankee" because when I was in Texas, that's what
they called me and I am a US citizen (but not from the South).

Since when did ever a Beta tester get paid for doing Beta tests ??

I know some companies will give, at least, a free copy of the released version, so
in a sense, beta testers are paid.

LOL. Right on the money. Although the OP ( Crash Dummy ) meant being paid (moolah)
to work the Beta and being paid with the finished product is not the same.

I myself have never paid for any OS or Office or any product from MS. I always got
the Gold disk at end.

At present I am on 4 different MS Beta's on 4 test machines and I will not get any
monetary compensation and I do not expect any

You need keep your mouth shut. I told you the truth you don't want to
hear about yourself and your usage of computers. It's not my fault
that you are so incapable. I gave you links and so did many others in
2 ng(s). You just can't do it for some reason.

you can't help yourself.

In fact, it's in monetary form. It's the retail value of the software,
which otherwise, that person will spend to purchase it, unless it's a free
non-commercial software. So it doesn't have to be in the form of
transferring money into one's pocket, but could also be saving one's money
from spending on something. At least, that is the logic I've been involved
before.

I understand that MS usually don't do this except maybe for Vista(?), but
it's just Microsoft

Fool, this clown talks about the US like the dog he is about. He is a
US citizen living in Spain, and he turned Benedict Arnold on it.

The clown did not respond to it, but an ignorant clown such as
yourself has to flap your lips off.
