Default Can't remove Hotfix (SP2)Q811493

Microsoft suggests removing XP Hotfix (SP2)Q811493 to
solve the related slow performance problem. I can't seem
to accomplish this with Add/Remove (no remove button when
item is highlighted). Thanks if you can help!

In our case uninstalling made no difference anyway - our
PC was freezing due to 811493. Had to run through Method
2 of In-Place Upgrade (Reinstallation) of Windows XP -
See MS KB 315341. This retained our software links, etc.
with exception of a couple of driver reinstalls. Be
sure to read the "IMPORTANT" 312369 and 301224 references
first and do NOT reinstall Q811493 when you're all done!!
