Default How to change modem or network icon?

In Win XP Pro, my Local Area connection and modem connection have identical
icons on the taskbar, two little blue monitors, one in front of the other.
Is there any way I can change one of these to a different icon? The computer
has several young users, and now and again someone clicks the wrong icon,
and disables the LAN when they mean to disconnect the modem.

Hello Bob
I don't know how to change the icon on the taskbar but you could choose to
"Always Hide" the LAN icon.
Right click Start button, choose Properties. Select Taskbar tab click the
Customize button.
Make your selection and choose OK.
