Cable not found
when you say that you are trying to set up a network with
two of your computers - do you mean that they are the only two (i.e. a direct cable connection)? - or are you connecting them through a switch / hub / router? If it's a direct cable between the two, then you must use a "crossover" cable. If it's through a hub etc then it must be a normal patch cable. -----Original Message----- I'm trying to set up a network with two of my computers, one running 98SE and the other running XPhome. The 98SE has been attached to many LANs before and the settings are still the same as usual. When I try and connect the XPhome computer, it keeps telling me that the cable isn't connected. It is. Has anyone had a similar problem or does anyone know how to combat this? TIA. . |
