CD RW
Windows has stopped recognising my DVD/CD-RW Combi as a recordable device.
I've tried changing the settings in the registry for the device type but cannot get a recording tab to appear in the properties. Therefore, I cannot drag & drop and there is no "send to:" option. Strangely, if I use Nero, I can record files to CD this way. I've tried uninstalling & reinstalling the device, but the found new hardware wizard claims to have found a CD Rom!!!! Any ideas, cuz I'm completely stumped, now! Thanks! |

CD RW
Hello dj_dee , Have you tried clicking the properties tab for the drive? Check eacvh box and set it the way you want your drive to play examp= Play a music CD when a disc is put in or record from files etc. Right now, I am more worried about the registry. you say you changed some settings? Did you change them back or make notes? if so, WTG if not, well , you may need to fix that first if you can. Let me know how it is going. Best of luck to you .
