I believe you can turn off Vista's Aero Glass look which most people call
Eye Candy. But you should post to: microsoft.public.windows.vista.general Someone should be able to answer your question here, the last version of Vista I tried was still a Beta and things change. JS "Happy" wrote in message ... How can I tell if my computer is Vista compatible? |

I have installed, uninstalled and re-installed the Vista upgrade advisor 5
times now and each time I receive an error message that there was an error in running the upgrade and that I should uninstall and reinstall again. Anyone else found this problem? Is this the message one receives if their computer is not capable? How can I tell if my computer is Vista compatible? Same experience here (error during install of upgrade advisor). I suspect
the app relies upon Net.Framework 1.1 and I've got version 2.0 here. -- David Nimon -------------------------------- "nor" wrote in message ... I have installed, uninstalled and re-installed the Vista upgrade advisor 5 times now and each time I receive an error message that there was an error |

Thanks David. I have Net.Framework 1.1 on my computer and still have the
problem. I am searching for others who might have had a similar problem with the upgrade advisor. So far haven't found anything. Maybe someone else will answer the message here.
