Default Windows Movie Maker 2.1

wrote:
I am trying to find Windows Movie Maker on my machines. I am told that
if I have XP SP2 installed I have it on board.

Microsoft's site was singularly unhelpful on the subject sending the
reader in circles while giving no useful information on the subject. I
should have been happy just to have the actual name of the file so I
could have searched the Windows directory for it. Nothing so basic was
to be had. I inserted my SP2 disc in a drive and see it is an all or
nothing proposition so finding an individual item that is supposed to
be included is not possible.

Assuming this elusive app is, in fact, already installed I went to
Accessories Entertainment and found nothing that seemed remotely to
be that which I seek. I checked all of the other Accessories drop down
lists as well as Control Panel.

Anyone care to enlighten me? It would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Looks like it should have been installed when you downloaded SP2.
Maybe you just did the critical updates and missed it. You
can download and install it from the link below:

BTW found the site with google in about 10 seconds.
