Messenger 5.1 - LCS 2005 SP1

We have just installed messenger 5.1 on a new Sony VAIO VGN TX3 XP and the
SIP communications service is not available. We have tried the article
relating 890304 but that has not corrected the problem. any one know how to
get the SIP account feature back into 5.1? This user was working fine on his
old machine but it seems to be related to the Sony
