Default Messenger integration OE6

X-post to OE6 and Messenger newsgroups.

Martyn, you've asked this question repeatedly in several newsgroups,
including microsoft.public.windowsxp.messenger. If someone knows the answer
to your question, they'll post it (most likely in the Messenger newsgroup),
Martyn.

If you must make identical posts to multiple newsgroups, please cross-post
one (1) message to all of them. Thank you.

I have Windows Messenger 5.1 and Outlook Express 6.0. I used to be able
to
see my online Messenger contacts in OE, but since installing IE 7, the
Messenger integration with OE 6.0 seems to have disappeared. Is there
something wrong or is this by design?
