Another way to send message ???
Hi,
I work for some company and we have some jobs that will send a message through NET SEND command to the users. After we got XP, the server administrators disabled the messanger service on the server for security purposes. I was wondered is there any other services like NET SEND in XP which we can use to notify our users??? Thanking you in anticipations, Chirag Oza. |

Works with all W9x, W2K and XP. It has very nice, "native" user interface under Windows XP and drop-down list with users... It can been downloaded from http://www.winpopup.com |

Hi,
Besides using the Messenger Service, which you already indicated is off or using the Windows Messenger client connected to either the public .NET Messenger network or SIP-based communications service, I don't believe there's anything else in Windows XP that will do what you're looking for. ____________________________________________ Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Messenger/MSN Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com "Chirag oza" wrote in message ... -----Original Message----- "Chirag Oza" wrote in message ...
