RDC fail
Reloaded the laptop & got ALL the updates.
Network Level Authentication required, though using same userid/pw on both machines. Can no longer connect to the desktop machine remotely, though we could run it remotely B4 the reload. What to do? |

Before the relaod of the machine - someone tweaked the Windows XP machine so it would use "Network Level Authentication" and be able to connect to the more advanced/secure remote desktops. The same tweak must be applied again. Yes - someone did it, whether you recall it or not and it was working. ;-) Description of the Credential Security Support Provider (CredSSP) in Windows XP Service Pack 3 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/951608 ( How to turn on CredSSP ) -- Shenan Stanley MS-MVP -- How To Ask Questions The Smart Way http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html |
