F key misbehaving - sending to wrong program?!
Following on from a thread a month or 3 ago which I can't find, where 1 in 3 days my F key wouldn't work (on any keyboard) without pressing shift (or caps lock and shift to get lower case):
I've now noticed that when it fails, the keypress is going to the wrong program. Eg. I tried to type the letter f into an email, while I had a video paused in VLC. When I tried to type the f into the email, VLC advanced one frame, which is what I would expect when VLC was in focus. Any idea what would cause only one key to go to the wrong program? |

It bugs me when people make a big long reply to me, then at the end, once I've read it and replied point by point, they announce they've killfiled me. Why did they reply in the first place? Hence the name change every so often to annoy them back. |

I think I'll end here to avoid long winded thread on something that could be easily solved by somebody with a modicum of intelligence. -- With over 950 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of windows. |

It's already been stated the keyboard itself isn't the problem. Your first attempt at using the windows troubleshooter failed. So I guess you've just admitted you don't have a modicum of intelligence yourself. |

VLC Media player is taking the F key when it's not in focus. I never noticed that VLC was always running when there was a fault. I often have it playing music or a TV program and have it paused while I type an email. Thanks for being absolutely useless in helping me, and also being a rude ****ing ****. You match about 80% of the population in being utter arseholes, you'll fit in great. |
