I don't recall seeing this until recently. Google wasn't
helpful.

I don't see anything in Google either.

Obviously, the person who thought this up was
pretty clever, in understanding how Google works.

What files are inside the folder ?

Is it a Junction point ?

To list junctions beneath a directory, include the –s switch:

junction -s c:\

junction -s c:\windows

I wonder what profit there is, in fooling around
with C:\Windows ? I don't see the utility of working
in there alone. Backup softwares don't need to do that.
