Default How Dim Screen?

How do I dim the Toshiba A75-S209 laptop screen in XP? I want to
reduce battery power consumption on the battery.

Something from the Support site's pdf file for that laptop's User's
Guide might help:

Power Modes are set by the Toshiba Power Management Utility.

1 Click Start, Control Panel, then Performance and Maintenance.
2 Click the Toshiba Power Management icon.
3 Click the Power Saver Modes tab, and select from there.

_Power_usage_mode_

Fn + F2 This hot key displays the power usage pop-up window and cycles
through the battery save modes. The power usage modes in the operating
system under battery power a
Long Life, Normal, and High Power; DVD Playback,
Presentation and Super Long Life
