Multi Problems

My problem is after a hard drive upgrade. I now can't use
the microsoft browser to do all things listed below.

1. I get a completely blank page when I go to Windows update.
and the knowledge base only has information that works
for all OSes except Windows XP.

2. When I try to use MSN MESSANGER to access my email, I
can't move emails from one folder to another. I have to
open my hotmail in Netscape and it works.

3. Recently I tryed to open Windows media player (version
9) and it gives me an internal application error. I try to
reinstall, but still happens.

I am not sure if I should reinstall windows all together or
if there are any registry tweaks that will correct this
problem.
