Putting tasks from taskbar on a sidebar
Hi all,
Does anyone know of a windows desktop sidebar that shows you the list of task as shown in the taskbar? Moving the task bar is not an option here because the location of the 'start' button and the clock is still important. Thanks, Micky |

Nothing like that "built-in" to WinXP - but, you always have the old "Task
Switcher" utility. That is, the ability to press the [Alt-Tab] key-combination to display a list of running applications in the centre of the screen. Repeated pressing & holing of the [Alt-Tab] key-combination, cycles the focus through the list and switches to the application highlighted as you release the keys. But check out the "enhanced version" of the [Alt-Tab] Task Switcher... This download, (from Microsoft's "PowerToys" range of "Add-Ons") adds a "mini-screen-shot" to each of the objects that appear on using the [Alt-Tab] task-switching function. Download the [Alt-Tab] TaskSwitcher Powertoy from : http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...ertoySetup.exe == Cheers, Tim Meddick, Peckham, London. :-) "mkmk" wrote in message ...
