Default task manger pblm

Usually one can hit ctrl-alt-delete and thetask manager
pops up. But now I get "task manager has been disabled
by your administrator". I do not recall changing it,
have I been hacked and someone changed my settings? Or
is there an easy way to get it working again?

Help! thanks Bob

Kelly, Well I tried both.

The first where I tried "start" "run" and type in "gpedit.msc" got me the
message of "Windows can not find "gpedit.msc" make sure you typed the name
correctly..etc"

The second of downloading tweak, well it went well, I right clicked for edit
and eth notepad meassage was as follows:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\policies\syste
m]
"DisableTaskMgr"=dword:00000000

Any idea what may be happening? Bob

Hi Bob,

For Pro: Go to Start/Run and type in: gpedit.msc
Expand User Config/Admin Templates/System/CAD options. There is a setting
here that can toggle that option on/off.

Another option:

Enable the Task Manager (Line 113)

To use the Regedit: Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it
and answer yes to the import prompt. REG files can be viewed in Notepad by
right clicking on the file and selecting Edit.
