Optimizing a DOS program on a Windows XP network
a DOS application runs fine when it is accessed from one
XP HE computer. if accessed from three or more computers long delays are noticed Upto thirty seconds to access files. this DOS application do open upto fifty files. I tried to change the system with the shared drive to Windows 2000 server but it did not help. I am not sure if there is some setting that will improve the performace of a DOS application when running on a Windows 2000 server with Windows XP home edition workstations. |

Optimizing a DOS program on a Windows XP network
Does this app run acorss the network or only on the individual machines?
Can you elaborate more as to how this app works?
