Are there no tan or other light-colored keyboards available any more?

I'm not recommending anything, including Amazon, just picked some
possibilities that might work for you.

I just now ordered one of the Amazon keyboards.

Curious why you didn't take the free trial of Amazon Prime and get free
shipping? That would have saved you around $10, I believe.
I finally found out the keyboard was the Microsoft Wired Keyboard 200 for
Business (White).
I might even buy one.
Post back on how you like it.
Thanks,

As a touch typist, I like it very much.

While the keys are the same size and at the same spacing as my prior
black Dell keyboard, the key tops are smaller. This means I hit two
keys at the same time much less often.

Also, the function keys at the top have wider spacing between sets
(e.g., between F8 and F9). This means I no longer have to feel slowly
and carefully along that row to find those two. I can tell immediately
if I am at F8 or F9 (two of the three function keys that I use most
often).

The new keyboard has little feet at the back, which I use to tilt the
keyboard. My favorite position when using my PC is to sit about two
arm-lengths from my monitor (no touch screen for me) with my feet up on
a footstool and my office chair tilted back. A tilted keyboard is thus
more comfortable than Dell's flat-lying keyboard.

One thing that was a disappointment is that the Enter key at the right
end of the main set of keys (not the Enter key in the numeric keypad) is
smaller than on the keyboard from my old Windows XP keyboard. It is
actually not as wide as the Shift key just below it. Since it is larger
than then alphanumeric keys, I expect I will get used to it.

The California sales tax and shipping charges doubled the cost, from the
quoted $10.31 to $20.82.

If shipping were quoted separately from handling, only the latter would
be taxed. Unfortunately, Amazon.com lumps the two together. California
levies sale tax on "shipping and handling" in that case.

WTF is "handling"? How is picking an item off the shelf and boxing
it for shipping _not_ part of the cost of doing business? What's
next? A "handling charge" when the deli counter at my supermarket
slices pastrami?

One thing is probably certain, that deli meat was probably handled more
times than the 's' on the keyboard.

Sure, but you can't get them with nice legends on the keys.
This one uses some sort of "computer font".

In my Bible, it's "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was
function keys on top".

OK, that's a waste of a post, but my *actual* attitude is that I don't
much care, once I get used to the current keyboard.

In fact, I just recalled that when I was using an iMac with WinXP on it,
running in a Parallels virtual machine, I had very little trouble
switching my mental code page when I switched from iOS to Windows
several times a day. That didn't move the function keys, of course, but
Windows vs Mac, Ctrl & Alt vs Cmd & Option, and so on.

OK, I'm bragging, I guess. I'll stop.

Having to use two hands, instead of two fingers of one hand, inevitably slows
one down.

In one word processing program I used, for example, the "delete line" function
was Alt F5. Very quich and easy with function keys on the left, cumbersome and
awkward with function keys on top.

Northgate used to make keyboards with function keys in both places, and I'd
gladly pay three times the price for one of those. One of the ironys of
computer history is that the ergonomically crippled ones were called
"Enhanced".
