Default Custom desktop icons won't stick

What I mentioned about the error reporting, was that I think I read some
place that the Nvidia Service was similar to MS error reporting. I can't
confirm this though.

On a side note I personally have error reporting disabled. I doubt this
makes a difference though.

Also the drivers that I am using are the ones straight from the Nvidia
website, no the ones from MS update page. Not sure if this makes a
difference in this situation or not.

Craig, you originally referenced a MS error reporting connection? Might he
have error reporting on. Personally, I think this is somehow related to
DirectX 9.0b. But the Nvidia thing worked for me.
John, does ATI have any extra services running?

Lol.

Sorry, I only found a solution to the Nvidia card issue.
