Default Xp has stopped printing. Printer checked on another PC.

Xp has stopped sending any document to the printer.
Printer checked on another PC and is working ok.
Drivers are up-to-date and have been unistalled and re-installed.

Is there any way to re-initialise the printing function in Xp?
Can anything be re-installed to Xp?

Thanks

Is is USB or something else? If USB, are other USB devices still working
correctly? Did you change the port to check other USB ports? If LPT, check
another printer on the LPT port.

Thanks Cari.

It's a Dell 946 Printer (USB). No apparent problems with other USB
devices. Have tried using different USB ports.

I can still scan/copy on the Dell 946 but there is no response to any
printing action (it doesn't crash or give any error message, it just doesn't
respond at all).

I think it's an Xp problem. Wondering whether some file got corrupted when
I updated the printer driver. I have tried completely unistalling the printer
driver and re-installing.

Follow Bruce Sanderson's instructions to blitz all printer drivers and start
again. Since it's a Dell (rebadged Lexmark) remember to include Steps 15
through 17 or you'll run into the Dependency problem.

Don't forget to disconnect the printer during all of this, and get a new set
of drivers from the Dell website before you start the really clean install
of the All in One.

I have an Epson Stylus Color 740. All I get is garbled messages. Is my driver
corrupted ? Or what? Thanks.
