Default Change default email from Office Outlook to Hotmail

Happily running XP Pro/Office 2002 Pro and needed to format/reinstall the lot.

Unknowingly, by default Outlook 'enables IM in Outlook' ... aaagghh ...

I also tried without success to remove IM (4.7?) which I attempted via reg
etc ...

I am simply going to delete Messenger program from Programs folder and
otherwise give up completely.

Have downloaded Windows Live Messenger and again it uses Outlook for emails
.... is there any way I can change WLM to email from say my Hotmail a/c ??

Thanks in advance ...
