Printer Sharing
I have a Vista Desktop with an Epson printer and a XP laptop. Prior to the
Vista I had a XP desktop and the XP laptop shared the printer and worked fine. I am now trying to get the new printer and desktop to work with the laptop. I have gone to the printers and fax tab on my laptop and tried to add a printer. I clicked on the network printer or printer attached to another computer, then browse for a printer. I have changed my vista computer to match the network that is set up on the laptop, I then type in the name of the printer as it appears on the desktop, EPSON.... and highlight the network name that the desktop has been changed to and I get "Windows cannot connect to the printer. Either the printer name was typed incorrectly or the specified printer has lost its connection to the server. -- Debbie |
