Default Can't change start menu & taskbar

For some reason unknown to me, my XP start menu has taken on the appearance
of Win2K ,i.e., the 'classic' look. I've grown to prefer the XP look; when
I go into the display properties, the settings say it is the new look, the
Windows & Buttons tab only allows Windows Classic as a choice. How can I get
the XP look back?

Fixed it! I had my Themes service set to Manual, and once I set it back to
Automatic, that fixed it. This was why I could only find Windows Classic in
my list of themes! Answer courtesy of MS KB article 296761.

Nice to hear that. If the themes service is already on and the problem
persist, the fix resolves it.
