CD/DVD drives recognised but not located

Default CD/DVD drives recognised but not located

i have a cd burner and dvd rom installed on my computer i
have all the connections and jumpers ect right and windows
detects that the hardware is there as it installs it but
when i go to my computer to access them there not there
and in device manager it tells me that the device drivers
were installed but it is unable to locate the device. Any
sugggestions?

Default CD/DVD drives recognised but not located

Make sure the cable is connected correctly to MB & Drives... or try a
different data cable. The 80 connector cables are fussy about what end
connects to the MB!

The data cable may be bad as some of the connectors maybe present, enough to
detect the drive, but others may not which could cause the system not to be
able to access the drive.

Just some thoughts...
