Default Wireless network does not display in My Computer

I have seen it displayed in the past but for some reason it doesn't always
appear. My computer is hard wired to an Apple router with 1TB HD and a Mac
is connected by wireless. I have looked at all the service notes and cannot
find an explanation or procedure for addressing this problem.

Does IPCONFIG show a Default Gateway.
Does the Mac ping.
Can the Mac ping your IP.
What IP does IPCONFIG report for your machine.
Are you sharing any folders on either machine.
Is the file and print protocol enabled on both machines.
If you see the router config page, does that see the Mac IP.
What else have you tried to do to see the network.
