Program won't autostart

....and up to a few days ago, it did.

The program is EventManager by Rotabeta software, a calendar reminder
program.

In the program's options is "start with windows" which is checked.

In task manager under startup the program is shown, as enabled.

In the users\me\appadata startup directory, it is listed along with
four other programs, which DO autostart.

Autoruns shows both locations, as enabled. The path shown to the
program is correct.

Things I have tried - compatibility mode for the program (none, XP,
Win7). Having the appdata startup entry point to the program shortcut.
Having the appdata startup entry point to the program itself. Setting
the program to run as admin and then back to not run as admin.


So what am I missing? Why did it stop auto starting and why won't it
now?

Nothing showing in search, it's like the program
never existed. Google has days like that...

Uncheck it, restart windows, check it, restart windows.

If you've scanned it on virustotal, post the link to the
results page. This will give SHA1 and other hash values,
and maybe a Google search on the hash will find the software.

Yup, same program. With Win-7 never had any problems with it. However
putting it in Win-7 compatibility mode hasn't helped the problem. What
really irks me is that it works perfectly for weeks or months, then
something (apparently in Win-10) changes, resulting in a problem that
did not exist previously.

There are probably similar programs available, but I am comfortable
with this one and have set it to remind me periodically of all kinds
of things such as
Is the generator running it's normal self-test right now?
Recharge the battery for the ....
Order a replacement filter for the ....
Mail estimated tax payment before....
Make image backup -- Update Tue tomorrow....
Time for annual termite treatment.
And of course the usual, such as doctor appointments.

This program allows for a wide variety of repeat triggers for daily,
weekly, monthly, annually, etc.
