My goal is (always) to improve efficiency (in this caes, in opening up any
given folder from any given desktop setup). Survey: How do you open to the file system from the Windows 10 desktop? o LMB doubeclick on the This PC desktop; shortcut? o LMB singleclick on a folder taskbar shortcut o Aimed Cortana search query? o RMB singleclick on a quick access pinned folder? o Other? In order of usage prevalence: LMB singleclick on the folder taskbar shortcut Click and drag upward on the folder taskbar shortcut (for pinned folder shortcuts and recent folders) LMB singleclick on the shortcuts to the left of the Start menu applications list (for networking/downloads/home folder, esp. network) Console (for large-scale file operations/admin file operations): win+X A (admin console) Type "cmd" in address bar of file explorer (user console) win+X C (user console) -- Zag No one ever said on their deathbed, 'Gee, I wish I had spent more time alone with my computer.' ~Dan(i) Bunten |

I have only two: Many folders and all drives have shortcuts on my desktop. Most of the others are linked in each folder window by an Explorer Bar on the left side. (Like the old Win98 folder links.) That covers 90+% of what I need to access. |
