Win10 how to correct key settings/language
Hi,
I am not on Win10 at the moment. In my Win10 PC I cannot use Notepad or MS Word, because the all the special keys like ?, !, ', @, # map to the wrong characters. I am in Canada. and use English. This does not happen always, but happens now after a reboot. .... I just rebooted and the problem went away in Notepad and Word. Thanks. Any technical thoughts on the nature of the phenomenon would be educational. Thanks again. |

Be careful if doing any "remove" operation! https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/...dows-10-a.html The part I couldn't figure out, some years ago, is why the layout would change mid-sentence. It was some modifier key I must have been typing, but I couldn't figure out what that was. I removed the French option from my English/French laptop, and after that it could no longer switch to French in the middle of a sentence. Paul |
