File History
I was using Windows 10 File History to back up my data, and was happy
with it. When I updated to Windows 10 / 1903, it turned of the File History. Several weeks later when I found it was off, I tried to turn in on and got an error code. In trying work around the error I turned on Window 7 back up and restore started. I decided to try to use it, but do not like it as I can not EASILY access the backed up files from file Explorer. I tried to cancel the Windows 7 back up, but now File History does not seem to be working even though I got it turned on Can some one help to get File History working again and rid of he Windows 7 backup. -- Judge your ancestors by how well they met their standards not yours. They did not know your standards, so could not try to meet them. |

You must have disabled Activities from the settings panel. Microsoft wants people to use TimeLine but you need to enable it by going to settings and it is under Privacy Activity History. I could post the image here but you or other idiots won't see it so I don't want to waste anybody's time!!. -- With over 999 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of windows. |

File History worked here. It was likely off before the Upgrade. And just switching it on and not customizing it, worked. About 5GB of files copied so far. https://i.postimg.cc/d3pzJynW/File-History.gif Paul |

I have to do a "back up now" for normal service to be resumed. |
