Desperately seeking a mobile phone extension sound.
I live in a big house without a fixed land line.
I have a mobile phone that I don't always carry in the house (too heavy). Is there a cradle into which I can insert the mobile phone that will amplify the ring tone all over the house (like a land-line one)? It's a Samsung A30 |

It's a Samsung A30 You could put handsets all over the house. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/VTech-DS6522...m/352854437230 https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Panasonic-KX...e/273398090915 I don't know what their fascination is with Bluetooth for interconnect. You'd need Class 1 on everything to make a decent system out of it. (And they're probably not going to tell you what Class it is.) It would suck about as bad as Wifi. If a lower frequency was available for unlicensed radio usage, there would be better wall penetration. Paul |

It's a Samsung A30 I think someone else may have touched on it, but when I was buying my current 4 handset Panasonic house phone, I saw some that had options to link the phone to your cell phone. Cell phone calls coming in would go to the base set and ring all phones and you could answer the cell via these handsets. I'm not sure mine wound up being one of those, but it interested me as my sister has her son living with her and he's on his phone 24/7 it seems like. I though it might be interesting for him to have that so he could just drop the phone by the base on his way in from work and the house would be wired. Al |

I use one of those. it can handle up to 2 cell phones with Bluetooth, and works fine without a home phone line. Bluetooth range doesn't matter since that connection is just between phones and the base. All handsets (mine came with 5) will ring unless silenced. The shorts I wear are designed generally for tradies (or anyone else who like to fill up lots of pockets with things). If you are specifically looking for a cradle, have you tried any of the "hundreds" of kiosks you see in large shopping centres? |
