In win98 mediaplayer you could click view/settings/mpeg
video decoder and it would tell you whether mpeg-1 or mpge-
2 and also the frame size and frame rate. I do not see
this feature on mediaplayer 9 that came with XP. Is there
some way to determine this data? Thanks

I don't know if the new player displays this data anywahere, but if you click start/run then type 'mplayer2' you will find the old player from 98.
