Can't start Messenger voice or video under XP
My friend and I both have Windows XP Pro. We both
connect directly to cable modems, one computer. We both have followed the instructions to open the ports behind the firewall (enter the loopback address 127.0.0.1 and open the ports 1863, 5060, 1503, 3389, 6891, 6892, 6893, 6894, 6895, 6896, 6897, 6898, 6899, 6900). All we get is "Connecting to [friend's] computer" and then the connection dies. It says the conversation with [friend] has ended. Why doesn't it work? Please speak in simple language if you have the answer. I don't understand a lot of the technical jargon. Thanks. |
