Default opening a video

I am having trouble opening and playing some videos. I
simply get a blank screen and nothing happens. Most
videos open normally.

Any suggestions?

make sure you have the right codec a lot of "films" use divx from
www.divx.com
gspot http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ will tell you which codec the file is
"using"
