Why Linux Sucks- 2020 Version
On 02/01/2020 16.54, Tig Welder wrote:
Why Linux Sucks It is ugly out of the box Can't claim that microsoft windows looks nice at all and with multiple different solutions on UI all with in one OS, it should have simple to make a unified look when you have control of the whole product, but the one who seems to always fail is microsoft, but then their business model ain't to provide a good software, it's just about selling licenses, no matter if the product is their own or not. Linux has been largely used in the server scenario, yet there are many who think it can compete against both Windows and Mac OS when it comes to desktop usage. Funny that a Linux desktop is outselling microsoft's windows on the laptop market. Linux is the most used OS for IoT, Super computers, servers and home electronics. Just remove all Linux devices you have at home and you suddenly can't do any of the smart things you have come accustomed to. Debian is where Linux started, and where it should have ended. There are many retards out there who claim that Debian 10 is the “GOD of stability”. That is a bold claim, do you have references? This is ****ing hilarious, I have NEVER had any crashes using Windows 10 on VirtualBox and NEVER had any BSODS or stuttering on my Windows 10 workstation I have to say I have quite often encountered issues with microsoft windows 10 (and earlier) in VirtualBox, there even been bugs in microsoft windows that made it fail to boot on VirtualBox (and native hardware too), but as you most likely noticed, it's more stable and boots up a lot faster in VirtualBox than on hardware. , however when I decided to deploy a Debian 10 VM the GUI won’t simply appear. I tried again, and again and again until it simply won’t work at all and I was just being fooled, but that’s what Linux is all about – a ****ing joke. We see you have issues with point and click, it's almost as if you had to get your grandfather help you and write your post. There will always be that guy who says they have an Amiga at home and a Linux workstation and server, and left it turned on for years. Don't see what the Commodore Amiga has to do with Linux, haven't seen Linux for Amiga, but on the other-hand there are some nice BSD distributions you can install, if you are into Unix. Linux users just can’t have Visual Studio, Adobe products and other private software that would be required for professional work because Nothing of that is required for professional work, but I know that for some people who thinks the pirated applications they use are the tools for professionals. companies won’t support it since they should focus in making cash, not attending needs for user, right? There are a number of companies who earns money on producing for Linux, for example IBM, Oracle, SAP, and many more. Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella is an open-minded guy, pretty much the opposite of Steve Ballmer, and is embracing Linux – but that’s another smart move. It seems Nadella is building in Linux kernel into microsoft windows, now it's not far to replace the old and buggy microsoft windows kernel with something better and the best thing is that you will not notice that you become a Linux user until it's too late. They have become platinum members of the Linux Foundation and are slowly buying control of Linux by showing support to the open-source initiative. “If you can’t beat your enemy, join them” This is for Microsoft depends heavily on Linux to run their infrastructure and they hope on getting many Linux virtual servers to run on Azure platform as possible. Richard Stallman is a ****ing moron, the dude even said on a video he’s never installed GNU/Linux (doesn’t mean he’s never used it though). But the thing about him that I find disgusting is his thoughts on pedophilia. Mr Stallman ain't connected to Linux more than that the majority of Linux distributions uses GNU tools (which also are available for microsoft windows, supplied among others by Microsoft) and that he fights for open source. Sure Mr Stallman has some odd views on sexuality, but then does Mr Gates too So we have found similarities in the open source community as as to the closed source and steal others products community. On the other hand, Bill Gates, alongside his wife, is a brilliant philanthropist nowadays, and has improved life on Earth in many senses and has never been involved in such a shameful polemic and doesn’t have disgusting thoughts. When you have earned money on others work, without their permission, then you can afford to be what you want. Without stolen code, microsoft windows wouldn't have an tcp/ip-stack, nor would there be a on memory-stick bootable version of microfot windows 7, and so on... So he ain't any better than Pablo Escobar, as Escobar also earned money on criminality and was kind of philanthropist too. He emphasizes reading physical books as a MUST for every single human being out there as he’s passionate about reading and acknowledges we are life-time learners. He ain't the first criminal to do so, just see Mao Zedong, Muammar Gaddafi, and so on... His billion dollars is nothing compared is humility – something that someone just can’t have or buy, you are born and raised with it. He have never been humble, just been lucky with his lies. Ballmer for their endless efforts on showing the world how cancerous Linux can be Sure Linux is a cancer, or should we really say open source, when you attach it to your product, your product becomes open source and this is what Steven was afraid for and now Nadella is doing with microsoft windows, making it part of the open source community. As a bright businessman Ballmer has seen the power of open source, you get people to work for free on the products you sell. Damn, the 90’s was a golden time. I remember back then when I was in college and my professors told me Linux was going to take over the world So right they were, now almost 90% of all devices, computers, smartphones run Linux. Written by another Senior .NET Developer and Microsoft Fanboy on Microsoft Word 2019, brought to you by Microsoft. If you have ever used Linux, you know what I’m talking about: it is EXTREMELY ugly. Not to mention the bad UX, I have had many crashes using both Ubuntu and Fedora. Never tried Arch or Gentoo, I just don’t get why ****tards use these distros, maybe they think they are 100% anonymous and their data won’t be collected anymore, or they feel superior because they use a different package manager and went through a command-line installation (LMFAO). 2. Mistakenly claimed as “stable” Debian is where Linux started, and where it should have ended. There are many retards out there who claim that Debian 10 is the “GOD of stability”. This is ****ing hilarious, I have NEVER had any crashes using Windows 10 on VirtualBox and NEVER had any BSODS or stuttering on my Windows 10 workstation, however when I decided to deploy a Debian 10 VM the GUI won’t simply appear. There will always be that guy who says they have an Amiga at home and a Linux workstation and server, and left it turned on for years. If you believe people who claim nonsensical bull**** like this, you should really go see a shrink (one can easily fake the uptime of their machine). 3. Lack of REAL software Linux users just can’t have Visual Studio, Adobe products and other private software that would be required for professional work because companies won’t support it since they should focus in making cash, not attending needs for edgy assholes, right? Thus, Linux ****tards claim that some of these companies are secretly paid by Microsoft not to deploy their software for Linux (not saying this couldn’t be true, MS got them smart moves. LOL) Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella is an open-minded guy, pretty much the opposite of Steve Ballmer, and is embracing Linux – but that’s another smart move. They have become platinum members of the Linux Foundation and are slowly buying control of Linux by showing support to the open-source initiative. “If you can’t beat your enemy, join them” describes The Linux Foundation sucking Microsoft balls perfectly. 4. Controversies I’m not even going to talk about the ego controversies between Linux users when it comes to being superior by using an editor over another, or even if it’s about distros. Linus Torvalds flipped his middle finger and said “**** You” to NVIDIA, well I guess you know why… NVIDIA doesn’t really like GNUtards sucking on their balls for decent drivers, specially if they don’t know how to suck balls. Richard Stallman is a ****ing moron, the dude even said on a video he’s never installed GNU/Linux (doesn’t mean he’s never used it though). But the thing about him that I find disgusting is his thoughts on pedophilia. “From the perspective of someone who cares about technology, Stallman’s views undermine the progress of free software, and will cement its reputation in some quarters as a fringe sphere populated by weirdos.” – extracted from TheNextWeb article “Free Software Icon Richard Stallman has some moronic thoughts about pedophilia”. On the other hand, Bill Gates, alongside his wife, is a brilliant philanthropist nowadays, and has improved life on Earth in many senses and has never been involved in such a shameful polemic and doesn’t have disgusting thoughts. He emphasizes reading physical books as a MUST for every single human being out there as he’s passionate about reading and acknowledges we are life-time learners. His billion dollars is nothing compared is humility – something that someone just can’t have or buy, you are born and raised with it. TL;DR Linux users, **** straight off. I would like to thank both Tim Sweeney (despite hating Epic Games, including all Fortnite community, and gaming in general) and Steve Ballmer for their endless efforts on showing the world how cancerous Linux can be and showing these communist delusional morons their lives are extremely pathetic because they are retards who think using an OS over another make them better than everybody else. Ballmer, however, was hypocrite when he said “I may have called Linux a cancer but now I love it”, it’s not because he doesn’t run Microsoft anymore and has made a lot of cash out of it that he should say something stupid like this – shame on you, pal. Damn, the 90’s was a golden time. I remember back then when I was in college and my professors told me Linux was going to take over the world – I feel really bad for them now. Written by another Senior .NET Developer and Microsoft Fanboy on Microsoft Word 2019, brought to you by Microsoft. There, Do you feel better now? Rene Yes. Telling the truth about how much Linux sucks is a wonderful catharsis. Are you aware that about 90% of the world computing is done on Linux? There is only a resisting niche, the Aple desktop and the Windows desktop. :-P -- Cheers, Carlos. |

The funny part is he is using slrn which is a throwback to the 1970's and a DEC VT100 terminal. Every option, including colors, are controlled by a text configuration file .slrnrc. So if you want to change the color of the text for example you need to edit the file and add something like CYAN to it, then save, restart slrn, rinse and repeat 100 times until you find a combination you like. Also slrn needs a helper application like slrnpull or leafnode to read offline. Otherwise it downloads one article at a time as you read them. Very slow, especially considering it's a cli application. Linux worshipers wear slrn like some badge of intelligence because they were able to configure and use it. Doesn't matter that it's a God awful program still left in the 70's, the complexity, especially when coupled with the editor vi or emacs makes them feel superior. It's one reason why Linux users are considered dysfunctional. There are many more of course but we can leave that for another day. |
