Default Remote Assistance

I have Windows XP and my friend has Windows Vista. We both have the same
version of Windows Live messenger. I am having a problem connecting to her
computer remotely. Is it because we have different versions Windows??

Default Remote Assistance

Greetings Lesley,

Nope -- it is backwards compatible.

More than likely this is do to a networking problem. For instance, if you have a router
which does not support Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) or UPnP has been turned off in the
router, Remote Assistance is not going to work.

Default Remote Assistance

Hello,

Not a solution, but you can avoid using Remote Assistance (its a pain with
firewalls) and use the free Crossloop instead
