Default 9 gig harddrive but only 1 gig free

As for removing it.... If you have not invested too much time loading
software...
Format and reload ALWAYS fixes that problem....

(All advice is checked, re-checked and verified to be questionable....)

hmmm...did you update to windows xp or was it already
installed when you bought it?..sounds like if you updated
from an older version of windows to xp you may have
partitioned your hard drive when you installed xp. Thats
why your getting the "which os to boot message".

We are a family of 4 and we each have an account in
Windows XP. We have MS Office, and a few basic games
loaded. We have just 1 drive which is C: and it says we
have used 8 gigs. There is just no way that we could

have
used that much space. Whenever I start our system, a
screen comes up and asks which operating system we want

to
use XP or 2000. Could we really have 2 operating

systems
on our machine? Where do I look to find out? If we do
have 2 op.systems how do I remove one?

Thanks for any help.
