Default ActiveX not disabled, still get prohibited message

I keep getting the "your current security settings prohibit running
ActiveX controls on this page," message on various webpages (using
IE6) despite having tried the trick of setting/resetting my security
permissions to medium, among other things. I keep getting it and for
the life of me, I can't figure out what would be causing it, as I even
tried everything enabled under custom. If anyone knows of anything, or
can think of anything, I'd be very grateful. The only other thing that
I can think of is that some program I installed is interfering.

Hi timothy, this is a long shot, could be a java issue, seems like you're tried
everything else

Your security settings prohibit running ActiveX controls on this page.

Note: Versions 5.00.3809 & 5.00.3810 are Security Fixes for version 5.00.3805.
Download and Install version 5.00.3805 (full version) first before installing
the upgrade(s).
On the side you'll note there's an option for an installation check.
