Default XP + network card intel pro 100 (82562) = XP freeze

hello,
I have a problem with PC which freeze (i have to reboot manually)
during a file transfer by the network. that occurs in a random way on
PC under Windows XP SP1. these PC are celeron 800 MHz (and 1200MHz)
and the network card is an INTEL pro 100 (chip 82562). the last
driver from INTEL and the configuration of the network card in 10Mbps
half-duplex do not change anything.
I would like to know if somebody already met this kind of problem, and
if a solution exists.
thank you.

Is your Intel device sharing an IRQ with another device? This is the only
way I can duplicate the problem you are having. Otherwise, with the
processor on board the NIC, this Intel card is the best card in my system.
(I have three cards installed.)
