Default Laptop Keyboard Problem

Hi all,

I have a problem with my Dell Inspiron 4100 laptop keyboard. Not long
ago, the right arrow key sometimes didn't work (there was no response
when I pressed it). And now, some of the keys in the keyboard didn't
work, they a A, S, D, F, J, K, L, ;, Fn, \
It used to occur once in a while, but now they are completely unusable.

Anybody have any suggestion? Is it really the keyboard that has errors?

Because if it is indeed the keyboard, then I'm planning to buy an
external USB keyboard, just in case.

Thanks very much.

Cheers,
Budi

Replace the keyboard.

What else could it be, other than the motherboard?

Default Laptop Keyboard Problem

Hi,

I have a very old I8100 has the same problem.

The easiest solution for me, plug into a cheap external keyboard for it for
I don't want to open the case to replace anything by myself.

You could try it as well just to make sure if it's indeed the "keyboard"
problem.
